England vs South Africa, 1st ODI Live Score Updates: Moeen Ali provided some respite to England after dismissing breaking the 109-run partnership between Janneman Malan and Rassie van der Dussen in the first ODI of the three-match series at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street on Tuesday. After Sam Curran had dismissed Quinton de Kock on the latter’s individual score of 19 to give England a good start, Malan and van der Dussen had helped South Africa bounce back with their solid partnership for the second wicket. But later, Moeen dismissed Malan on 57. Earlier, South Africa skipper Keshav Maharaj opted to bat against England in the game. While the match in Durham kicked off the series between the two competitive sides, it also sees Ben Stokes bidding adieu to the ODI format. Stokes, who makes his final appearance in the format with his 105th game, announced about his decision to retire from ODIs on the eye of this match. England look to give a perfect farewell in the ODIs to the star all-rounder with a win over the guests, while South Africa must be equally eager for an early lead in the three-match series.
